Provisioning Automation

RockSolid reduces delivery times and improve consistency through provisioning automation. This allows hosts (VMWare, HyperV, Azure & AWS), SQL Server Instances and SQL Server databases to be created as part of a defined workflow. All provisioning utilises RockSolid policies, meaning everything is created using your operational standards by default.

Patching Automation

The RockSolid automation platform helps to manage the SQL Server patching lifecycle. From patch selection through to targeting, scheduling and implementation. RockSolid can be used to automate any pre-patching activities, deliver the patch and undertake any rollback activities if a patching process fails. This process is designed to support hundreds or even thousands of SQL Server instances.

Database Test Restore Automation

Most organisations have a requirement to undertake regular database restores as part of their compliance processes. Usually this process is largely manual and time consuming, and given the size of some enterprise environments, undertaking regular database restores for all production databases is impractical. RockSolid resolves this through restore test automation.

QA/Dev Database Restore Automation

One of the more common operational support requests relating to database environments is the request to restore a development environment from a production copy. This may be so developers can update their code while utilising the production data, or so application owners can try and replicate an issue in an environment outside of the production database.
